Welcome to the Diamante WGA9

The association is open to all female members of Diamante holding memberships with full golf privileges.

We are glad you are a member!  If you aren’t yet a member, please join us for 2024!

We invite new and seasoned golfers to play!

Our group enjoys a fun, short golf round with lunch and laughter following play.

Our Sunday Socials are another great way to meet other ladies/couples.  The Sunday Social offers golf and/or dinner & social time with you and your significant other.

Play Days:

  • Tuesday mornings (with an occasional Wednesday)

    March 12 – October 29 (unless a holiday/special event / course closure)

  • Sign up on the website (dcc-dwga93.golfgenius.com)   by 2:00 P.M. on the Sunday before Tuesday’s play.  (If you miss the deadline, please email the Golf Shop prior to 7:00 am on Tuesday to be added to the list.) (golf@diamantecc.com)
  • Meet outside the Golf Shop at 8:15 A.M. for announcements
  • Shotgun at 8:30 A.M. for 9 holes on either the front 9 or the back 9 (varies during the season)
  • Following play, join your fellow golfers for lunch in the grill (or on the patio if weather permits).
  • Some days are simply “Play Your Own Ball” while other weeks will specify teams for fun formats.
  • For most play days, in order to facilitate pace of play, we limit strokes on each hole to “net double bogey”.  The Golf Shop marks our scorecards with our “strokes” so that each person knows their “net double bogey” per hole.
  • We play “ready golf” as long as it doesn’t interfere with another player’s position.
  • We celebrate triumph by entering our achievements in the “Milestone” book following play each week.  If you have an eagle, birdie, par, or chip-in you will list it as an achievement. If you have a “personal record low round” (break 60, 55, 50, or 45 for the first time during league play) you will notate that achievement in the book.  (Take a photo of your scorecard before turning it in to the Golf Shop so that you can have it to enter your accomplishments.)

New for 2024:

  • Ringer Board /Dream Card (Optional)
  • Low Putt Pot (Optional)
  • Practice Partners (Optional)

Ringer Board / Dream Card:

The “Milestone” book will include an individual scorecard for each member to modify as the season progresses.

For the first Play Your Own Ball play day that you participate, you will complete the entire scorecard (for whichever 9).  Then each additional play day that is PYOB, you will enter the score only for the hole(s) that you had a lower score than previously. (You will do this for the front 9 one day and the back 9 another day.)

Low Putt Pot:

For the weeks that the format fits, we will have an (optional) Low Putt Pot.  If you wish to participate in this “side game”, you will list your name and put your money in the pot before we head out on the course. While playing, you will record the number of putts on each hole on your scorecard. Then during lunch, we will confirm how many putts each player had during the round.  If you pick up on any hole (due to double net bogey) then you will count 3 putts for that hole.  The paying participant that had the least amount of total putts for the 9 hole round will win that day’s pot.

Practice Partners:

Get together with other members on Thursday morning around 10:00 am for a practice session.  It might be at the range, the chipping area, the sand area, or the putting green.  The focus of practice will vary week to week. Continue the fellowship while having lunch!
